TOP QUESTIONS
DO YOU HELP TREAT TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESS?
Absolutely!! There are many reasons to receive a massage if you have a chronic illness, or if you are at end-of-life - there are few instances where massage is completely contra-indicated. Clare will work with you ensuring your maximum comfort and safety. If she feels it is unsafe to provide you with a massage, she will explain the reasons (ex acute infection, acute heart failure etc). Massage can help with decreasing pain, anxiety and improving sleep and movement.
WHAT LOTIONS DO YOU USE?
I use the beautiful Premax massage lotion and cream range, and Epaderm.

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?
That's a great question. I live in Ashfield. My work radius will depend on time pressures of me and my clients, and my family.
CAN YOU FIX LYMPHOEDEMA?
No, but I can teach you how to manage it yourself. I can help you reduce the size of your leg or arm with compression bandaging, and ease discomfort of swelling and help with reducing swelling with manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and massage and exercises. Skin care is really important, so I use liberal amounts of lotion during my massage sessions to help with moisturising, and I will help you wash your feet/skin etc if assistance is required. For compression garments, I may help you with ordering them or make suggestions about where to source them. And of course, if you have any questions regarding your condition, I will try to answer them. I do not have an L-dex/SOZO machine at my practice - this is very useful in early monitoring for development of lymphoedema following cancer surgery. Many hospitals now have this technology available.
