Boosting your lymphatic system


Essential to good lymphatic health are the following key points: keep hydrated (drink approx. 2L of water per day), exercise daily (muscle pumping and deep breathing enhance lymph drainage), and care for your skin (good hygiene and moisturising). If you have signs of lymphedema (chronic swelling in limbs; heaviness and aching in a limb that has been affected by surgery, especially where lymph nodes have been removed; asymmetrical swelling), please see your doctor or seek out a therapist that has training in the management of lymphedema. I have this training.
